Also Exposing the business with celebs
By Scott Keith on 8th November 2022
That last question about exposing the business with celebs missed a big
thing I think.
thing I think.
Old school pro-wrestlers were super big on kayfabe, going to extreme
lengths to keep the public thinking wrestling wasn't a work.
Yet they bring in a celebrity and tell them “Hey, this is all a work…
and we'll show you how to do a bit of it” for what was a short term deal
and they weren't worried about it getting exposed afterwards?
Why did they trust celebrities? Do you recall any celebrities involved
in wrestling later exposing the business as a work in an interview
somewhere? I'm kinda surprised I've never heard of it happening as
celebrities, particularly when they can't get work, sometimes do things
to get attention and feel relevant again.
Yeah but if they did then Iron Sheik would go to Hollywood and break their legs, bubba.
