BCC Momentum Up & Down
By Scott Keith on 31st October 2022
I apologize if I mixed the order of the following in some case: When the Blackpool Combat Club officially started with the Regal debut & Following Dynamite promo, I was HOOKED! The following tag-matches, the making and adding of Yuta, it was the absolute highlight every week for me. I could see a purpose with every match and promo. Then they got added to the feud of JAS/Kingston & friends. There was dissention already. Then Punk got injured. And they had to slot Moxley into the title picture. Then Danielson got hurt. But then here comes Claudio! These 4 & regal, perfect size to me!
Then ROH gets shoved down our throats. There goes Yuta & Claudio fighting that fight. Now Trios titles are introduced, but the BCC not even in the tournament?!? Then more ROH gets added into the Danielson/Jericho feud. Then, due to all kinds of events going on, in the span of weeks Moxley squashes Punk, loses to Punk, wins the title again from his stable-mate Danielson.
So I'll start it with Jan 2022, when Danielson was scouting a returning Moxley that laid the seeds for their Revolution match in March 22 and were' off. Not even a year into one of AEW's very few captivating storylines and I have no direction what they're going in anymore. If Punk never got initially injured before Forbidden Door, would we be seeing a more cohesive stable? I imagine with Punk/MJF being a master plan(?) Moxley would have taken the time off. Was TK always going to sign Claudio & use Danielson & Yuta to prop up ROH more? Where's my lost year of “Step up,or get stepped on!”
