Zeusmania

By Scott Keith on 17th October 2022

You've mentioned a few times in the past that there was a real fear in the newsgroups (remember those?!) that Vince would actually try to have Zeus main-event WM6 against Hogan. Is there anything to indicate Vince was actually considering this? If so, he
was genuinely out to lunch: No Holds Barred was a box-office flop, so there's no way he could sustain interest in Zeus all the way to 1990. He really should have been one-and-done with SummerSlam 89, especially since it did such good business. “Quit while
you're ahead” is not a mantra the wrestling business often abides by, but that was a situation where it definitely applied.
Yeah but Summerslam DID do great business, so that’s why Vince would have believed they could do it again at Wrestlemania.
