One more question this time about music
By Scott Keith on 17th August 2022
I have the No Holds Barred Blu-Ray and noticed that in the extras section where you can watch the Summerslam 1989 main event as well as the Hogan/Beefcake- Savage/Zeus cage match that Real American is dubbed over with generic music. I know things can be weird with the music stuff but this is the first time I ever recall Hogan's Real American theme being dubbed over. Didn't know if it was an issue with WWE Films division or what it may be. Thanks.
I don’t think No Holds Barred is owned by WWE, so the film distributor likely had to license the matches from WWE and wanted to save on music costs for the disc. If you play Real American then you have to pay WWE a royalty. Grossly ironic of course given that WWE doesn’t actually pay their own talent royalties for streaming and other stuff.
Makes me wonder why WWE doesn’t put the movies that they DO own into the Network/Peacock for more content.
