One of the common observations about the Invasion is that it was hobbled from the start by the big WCW names not coming in. Let's say those guys are all available and willing to sign with the WWF: how many of those names does Vince just repackage as WWF guys

Yeah, but again, they scored one of the highest buyrates in the history of company by using WCW scrubs and just slapping the “invasion” name on it. They could have done that 5 or 6 times over and built to a Wrestlemania if they had actual stars.
