Saw people talk about who actually had dignified retirements in wrestling history. Wouldn't Jushin Liger count? Had a couple of matches at his final Wrestle Kingdom, was willing to do the job for both of them, hasn't (as far as I know) teased coming back, and retired before things got really bad? Both in terms of career and how he retired before the pandemic shut things down (!).
I’d say he counts. Booker has had a pretty dignified one too. And Taz!
