While I must say that AEW has brought back my love for pro-rasslin, mainly because of your reviews making everything they do bring back the fun of watching our “so called sport” and not feel so force fed like WWE, I can’t help but wonder…is the crowd size ever going to be a problem for AE Dub? This weeks Dynamite had two hard shots of a mostly empty side opposite to the entrance and people walking out in the middle of a match along with an entry upper deck. Say what you will about WWE but for Raw their arenas are not only bigger but almost always full. My guess would be that since AEW does most of their shows in smaller venues (ie Duluth GA instead of Atlanta) and that they’re running their shows on an off day like Wednesday when the venues would likely be empty anyway, so even a half empty arena is better than nothing at all; do you think that the ratings they get are more important than the tickets they sell?
WWE crowds are nowhere near “always full”. They just do a remarkable job of protecting the view on camera so you don't see when the arenas are half-full or less. In fact AEW had a huge crowd in Los Angeles and did such a lousy job of shooting it that it appeared to be a normal sized one! So that's definitely a thing for them to work on.
