Since modern wrestling can be infuriating or even boring, I was wondering if we could change the subject and get a discussion about modern tv. This modern renaissance and embarrassment of riches for television continues on so I was wondering what you and the readers think are the best programs still going today. Being a huge Breaking Bad fan I of course love Better Call Saul. Cobra Kai is of course great fun and some of the Disney plus marvel and Star Wars shows can be entertaining as well. HBO however is unmatched. Barry might be my favorite show currently airing and I’m late to the party and just got into Succession which is brilliant as well. Winning Time was also great for us basketball and Adam McKay fans, and their short mini series like Mare of Eastown, The Staircase and True Detective are all varying degrees of awesome. Let’s get a discussion going like we do in the night threads!
Sure, go nuts. I finished The Boys season 3 and it blew away the first two seasons, I'd have to say, and I'm satisfied with how they wrapped it up. Hopefully we learn more about Soldier Boy in the fourth season.
Star Trek Strange New Worlds is the best Trek since DS9 and I'm sad the first season was only 10 episodes, but I guess “leave 'em wanting more” is a good thing. Paul Wesley as Kirk is kind of a “no” from me, though. He needs to bulk up a bit at the very least.
Obi-Wan was tremendous, but I can't get into Ms. Marvel for whatever reason so I'm just skipping that one. Probably She-Hulk will lure me back, but man the MCU is aimless in Phase 4, as evidenced by Thor. The movie was hilarious but nothing is leading anywhere right now.
I think I have HBO as a part of Crave, but I don't watch anything on it.
I finished blowing through Yellowstone and 1886, so apparently I need to watch Longmire now, so I have seeked that out and will be starting at some point. Big Brother is back now anyway.
