Why is AEW rushing this interim champion?

Morning Mr. Keith hope all is well. With forbidden door being sold on NJPW vs. AEW(as it should be), why the hell is this interim champion process being so rushed? Even with the current injuries, you got a boatload of talent that you can fill all the tv time you want until after Forbidden Door and then some, with a massive tournament. Tournaments are awesome!
Pick your winner, pick the story you want, work backwards. Fuck it get 32-64 guys in there, show that damn huge bracket at the entrance of every tv show, and now you have stakes in so many matches going forward. You can have so many fun combos, upsets, etc etc. Blow if off at a much hyped Dynamite. Basically, don't book it like you did the Owen tourneys. (All Out in sept. i think is too long to wait i think).
And if no clear winner emerges from all of this, a two-man sack race will be held on consecutive Sundays until a champion can be crowned.
Given how things played out, I think they clearly could have just said Mox v Tanahashi was for the interim title and been done with it.
