Hello Mr. Keith: MY question is one that has been bandied about for years since there are many different answers, but what was the worst thing to happen to the wrestling business in your opinion? The death of the territories? The rise of the dirtsheets? The deaths of Owen and Eddie? Russo in WCW/TNA? There is like 20 other answers these days.
Personally my pick was the year 2001 in general: The death of WCW and ECW, the WWE making the all-time dumbest move ever by turning Austin heel, and the Invasion being the biggest waste of a money drawing angle in history. Heck if you want to rank the various answers that would be cool. Thank you for your time and have a nice day.
So I should pick four and put them on some kind of mountain memorial? We're not gonna do that. The 2001 death of WCW was by far the worst thing to happen to the wrestling business in my lifetime. It took away the competition for WWE, led to the creation of TNA, and drove off millions of fans who never returned. Triple whammy.
