Good morning Mr. Keith. Hope all is well and safe. I'm officially footing for Edmonton as the only people who root for florida or carolina hockey teams are transplants from colder states.
Anyway, as much as i love AEW and hope they grow, I find there are simple solutions to some of their issues, and in this case, the booking from 1 ppv to the next. And being a wrestling fan since the late 80s, i still find the best booking format was from Nxt Black & gold Takeover Era.
6 ppvs/specials, 2 months was the PERFECT time between them. Nothing felt exhausted, And they just revolved the talent matchups that every show felt like fresh showdowns. There was barely ever rematches. AEW has the talent pool to make this work with the 3 hours of weekly tv.
What was your favorite booking/writing formula, no matter how short it was?
Pretty sure we're hurtling towards a Colorado-Tampa final no matter what happens in the other series.
I still like 89 WCW. A couple of big PPVs, a couple of big Clashes in between them to heat things up on free TV, and some solid TV from week to week.
