I was just watching a Clash of the champions from 1996. This was directly after the Hogan NWO heel turn, and he was defending the WCW Title against Ric Flair.
There is a weird sequence mid-match where Hogan, who is the heel in this match, starts “Hulking up” and going full babyface, forcing Flair to briefly play the heel.
Was this just a case of Hogan being so used to that act that he had a brain fart, because it really looked odd?
Yeah, Hulk had some trouble adjusting his style back to heel, which you can also see at Hog Wild. But to his credit, he was 100% into the new character by Halloween Havoc.
