I get it. ROH was super important for wrestling today. The problem is that it hasn't actually been interesting or important in a long, long time, and yet it's all over my AEW now.
I'm sorry, but I just don't care about a unified ROH women's title with someone I've never seen. Seriously, how the hell is THAT a main event for your main weekly show? We go from a ladder match last week between a rising babyface and a hated heel to…….a random women's match over a title I can't possibly care about with people who haven't been built up at all on AEW programming.
Please, AEW, just launch ROH separately already and stop with the forced ROH matches.
Agree 100%. If there was significant interest in the ROH brand, Sinclair wouldn't have dumped it on Tony Khan. Doing a couple of ROH nostalgia matches every few weeks is one thing, but having a meaningless “unification” match as the main event of the AEW weekly show is way beyond the pale. You're just diluting the titles you already have with talent that's already been established as second-rate on your own show. In other words, it's the WCW Invasion.
