Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan handle commentary and they are concluding the taping cycle in San Antonio, Texas.
Rhythm & Blues squash match from Prime Time Wrestling opens the show.
Lord Alfred Hayes’ Special Report talks about how “the spirit of glasnost in Bolshevikovia” did not hold and Nikolai Volkoff and Boris Zhukov will soon collide in singles competition.
Hercules (8-2) beats Bob Bradley via submission to a torture rack at 2:11:
When Heenan says positive comments about Hercules’ physique, Monsoon insists that he has been taking some Hulk Hogan vitamins. Like their previous Prime Time bout on February 5, Bradley is tossed around with ease and flies over the top rope after taking an atomic drop. The torture rack allows Hercules to win his fourth straight singles match, but he is directionless in storylines.
Hillbilly Jim encourages fans to buy the WWF ice cream bars since he has two a day.
Haku (w/Bobby Heenan) (0-2) pins Omar Atlas after a thrust kick at 1:33:
Atlas tries to outwrestle Haku, but Haku escapes an amateur takedown and the two fight near the corner until Haku hits a thrust kick out of nowhere to earn his first singles win of the year. Like Hercules, Haku is grinding his gears in the midcard.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan’s squash from Prime Time Wrestling is shown.
Bad News Brown (12-0-1) pins Jim Gorman after the Ghetto Blaster at 2:05:
Gorman learned little from the last time he faced Brown on February 19, getting attacked before the bell, choked with his own ring jacket, and methodically deconstructed until Jake Roberts does a split screen promo where he wonders what he has to do to make Brown happy. This feud gets sillier by the day.

Gene Okerlund interviews Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire. Rhodes gloats about the win in the mixed tag match at WrestleMania VI before moving on and talking about the beatdown the two received from Randy Savage and Sensational Sherri last month. When he says that Sapphire is America, Heenan cracks that he needs to move. Rhodes gets the crowd to chant “One more time” when he says that he and Sapphire will find a way to get vengeance and beat Savage and Sherri again. Sapphire adds that she is soon going to teach Sherri “something about pain.”
Dino Bravo (w/Jimmy Hart) (13-3-2) pins Louie Spicolli after a sidewalk slam at 2:10:
In the split screen, Bravo promises to choke out the Red Rooster when they meet but it would have been better to air this match last week because Bravo beat the Rooster on the recent edition of Prime Time. Bravo goes old school by dizzying Spicolli with an airplane spin and knocking him down with a clothesline. The sidewalk slam finishes Spicolli’s punishment and gives Bravo his second televised win of the week.
A replay of Rick Rude jumping rope in the gym airs.
Brutus Beefcake’s squash from Prime Time Wrestling closes the show.
Tune in next week to see Tito Santana and Jimmy Snuka in action!
The Last Word: This was a passable show of Wrestling Challenge since most of the acts featured were not going anywhere on the card. Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire’s promo with Okerlund put some energy back into their program with Randy Savage and Sensational Sherri, but it was not drawing well in the C-towns.
