Jacob & Eli Blu w/ Uncle Zebekiah vs. Razor Ramon & Savio Vega
Razor & Savio immediately run into the ring and attack the Blu Brothers. They clear the ring and Uncle Zebekiah calms down his men. Razor works the arm of Jacob but gets caught with a big boot. Razor is able to avoid a second duck then fires away and grounds Jacob. Savio tags in and fires away before using a scoop slam. Savio knocks Eli off of the apron then continues to work over Jacob. Razor & Savio use quick tags and work the arm of Jacob until Eli catches Savio with a clothesline from the apron. Eli tags and hits a few sledgehammers then beats on Savio in the corner. Savio gets dumped outside in front of Uncle Zebekiah, who provides a distraction allowing Jacob to hit a clothesline. Jacob & Eli work over Savio while running interference and its not particularly exciting. JR keeps talking about Savio’s street fighting background as he tries to fight back. Eli cuts off Savio with a forearm smash to the kidney then we go to break and return with Eli hitting a powerslam for a two count as Razor makes the save. Eli then hits an elbow drop and a knee drop that gets two. Savio now gets up and fights back but Jacob tags in and cuts off a tag. Jacob hits a running charge in the corner and follows with a snap suplex before tagging out. Savio ducks a double clothesline and hits one of his own and somersaults over to Razor and tags out. Razor runs wild on both Jacob & Eli then hits Eli with a super back suplex and sets up for the Razor’s Edge but while the ref was distracted by Zebekiah on the apron, Eli runs in and boots Razor in the face then covers for the win (12:01) *.
Thoughts: This was lousy. Dull action and Savio selling for several minutes was not ideal. I know some people are fans of his, mostly I think for his work as TNT in Puerto Rico, but so far in his WWF run he’s shown nothing unless in the ring with top flight opponents. Jacob & Eli are not any good in the ring and Razor was going through the motions (behind the scenes he did not want to team with Savio, even though they were legit friends) to make for a dull main event with a surprising outcome. I guess this feud is not over.
Final Thoughts: The featured bout sucked and the rest was stuff from other programming so there was little reason to watch. Oddly enough, there was not a featured bout announced for next week so lets stay tuned to other shows and see what will be happening as the days of Action Zone featuring weekly featured bouts is coming to an end much sooner than later.
