Observer Revolution review
By Scott Keith on 12th March 2021
Interesting numbers for this one. I’ll prepare the popcorn for the comments section.
AEW REVOLUTION
Thumbs up 406 (48.5%)
Thumbs down 163 (19.5%)
In the middle 268 (32.0%)
This was apparently the most ever non-positive feedback to an AEW PPV show, although the show smashed buyrate records for the company by a lot. I can also confirm that I had a pretty significant amount of people buy the show through my link on Fite (significant by my standards, I guess).
To the ratings!
- Britt Baker & Maki Itoh beat Thunder Rosa & Riho in 14:48. ***1/2
- Young Bucks beat Chris Jericho & MJF to retain the AEW tag titles in 17:48. ****1/4
- Pac & Rey Fenix won the Casino Battle Royale in 26:44. ****
- Hikaru Shida retained the AEW women’s title over Ryo Mizunami in 15:09. ***1/2
- Miro & Kip Sabian beat Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor in 7:53. **3/4
- Adam Page pinned Matt Hardy in 14:58. ***1/2
- Scorpio Sky won a six-man ladder match over Cody Rhodes, Max Caster, Lance Archer, Penta El Cero Miedo and the debuting Ethan Page in 23:17. ***3/4
- Sting & Darby Allin beat Brian Cage & Ricky Starks in the street fight in 13:52. (N/R)
- Kenny Omega pinned Jon Moxley to retain the AEW title in an explosive barbed wire death match in 25:10. ****1/2
So pretty much my ratings were exactly in line with his for all the big matches. I definitely didn’t like the ladder match all that much though.
