UNBELIEVABLE!

So one of the major knocks on the product today is Vince’s micromanaging, from the booking to being in the announcers’ ears. A lot of us wish someone else was running things.
In the 90’s, there was periods where Vince was doing the play by play on TV. Was he still in control of every specific detail during those times even while behind the booth? Was it planning/rehearsing extra so it all went accordingly to his vision? Or during his announcing, did he entrust the running of things to someone else in the back & he didn’t micromanage so much?
He still micromanaged a lot, but not to the degree he does today. He let Patterson and Gorilla do a lot of heavy lifting from a booking and show-running perspective, although he was said to hate doing announcing himself because he would rather be back there running things himself.
