Do you think this could have saved the AWA?

I have a scenario that I would like for you to review to see
if this could have saved the AWA from its dying days. Verne Gagne gets involved
in a world title match and shockingly turns heel and comes out of retirement.
He starts going by Vivacious Verne Gagne and is a hybrid of basically Gorgeous
Jimmy Garvin and Ravishing Rick Rude. He comes out to stripper music and
stripteases like 1996 Shawn Michaels in the ring when taking his entrance gear
off. His workrate is the exact same and he still wrestles like he always has. He ends up winning the world title
and feuds with babyface Jerry Lawler over the title. How well do you think this would have
helped the company?
