If the idea for this match was to make Sting the big star and get Flair out of the way, why do a fluke Small Package finish instead of the Submission Scorpion Death Lock? Wouldn't that have made Sting look more legit as champion? Also did they ever
do Sting-Flair rematches with Sting as Champion? Seemed like they pushed Flair out of the way until he became the Black Scorpion at Starrcade 90.

The goal was absolutely to push Flair out of the way. That’s why he left in 91.
