Hi Scott,

I’m way out of the loop, but I was wondering if you could summarise what’s happening with John Cena?

From what I can tell, the past 5-10 years Cena has been painted as a company man, loyal to a fault. Recent talk has him as a part time performer with one foot out the door.

Is he winding down, perhaps looking for a backstage or office position, whilst “putting over” worthy talent?

Is there some kind of creative rift between him and Vince? Has he been trying to get into acting and non wrestling gigs more?

He is 100% moving into Hollywood full-time at this point, while still trying to be nice to Vince and work the occasional match. For example, the latest Observer notes that he was basically advertised for the Rumble to sell tickets at the stadium, but then suffered a phantom "injury" to take him out of it because the intention was never to deliver him.
