Dear Scott,
Please get your air cconditioning fixed before you succumb to heatstroke. I don't think the BOD would be able to handle the irony of you dying on your own vacation.
In fact, in a rare show of Steven Regal-like Man's Man know-how, I had someone who works in HVAC talk me though disassembling the unit and hitting the reset button inside that got the unit working again. So $500 saved and the house is now a comfortable 70 degrees again. But I appreciate the concern!
