Elias Push

By Scott Keith on 25 July 2018

You recently mentioned Elias in response to an e-mail about guys with poor in-ring ability that you still like as a performer. I couldn't agree more, and here is my question: Elias released an "album" which is #6 today on ITunes and he has 2 specials this week on the WWE Network-how far do you think the push goes?

Vince loves mainstream media attention and right now the album is selling better than Taylor Swift and is close to Drake, probably the two biggest selling artists of today. I'm betting they will have multiple graphics next week on RAW with that statistic, and if he hits #1, we will be hearing about this in every segment that Elias is involved in until he leaves the company. I think his upside is probably somebody like the Miz, at worst he could annoy crowds for years like the Honky Tonk Man on the indy circuit. Miz made his way to the main event of Wrestlemania, HTM was never getting above the mid-card. Where do you think Elias ends up?
I think that if he can show that he can hang with guys like Reigns and Rollins in the ring on a regular basis, they go all the way with him. I'm shocked they didn't put the IC title on him when they had the chance, in fact. He's got long greasy hair and a beard, so he's already got the main eventer look down!
The thing is that you can't teach charisma and "it factor", and Elias has both of them. It's just the in-ring stuff that he desperately needs to put together to get over the next level.
