Hogan-Jeff Jarrett Bash at the Beach 2000

By Scott Keith on 25 February 2018

When they did this, and Russo came out and said Hogan didn't want to do the job for Jeff Jarrett, was that storyline or did that actually happen? When they set up Hogan and Jarrett from GAB 2000, was the plan for Jeff
to go over, Hogan to go over or do the lay down finish they did, with Booker then getting the title?

Oh man, that is such a complicated question that it took a lawsuit to try to figure out the “real” answer. If I have the ridiculous layers of shoot and work sorted out properly, it was a pre-planned storyline with Hogan and Russo and Jarrett, but then Russo went “off-script” and buried Hogan on the mic afterwards, which was contrary to Hogan's creative control. I think. Regardless, Hogan never returned to WCW, so it was a work that turned into a shoot. Or something. We'll never really know, I think.
