Tony Schiavone in the WWF

What was the reason behind Tony Schiavone jumping ship from WCW to the WWF? Was there ever somebody more out of their element it seemed?

​Hey, it’s Tony Schiavone Day here on the blog, apparently! For those panicking, the Observer Flashback is posted and ready to go up this afternoon as an experiment. So look for it after lunch.

​Anyway, poor Tony just kind of came out on the south end of a power struggle with Jim Ross and had nowhere else to go, but as you say, he was never a good fit there. And he wasn’t going to get anywhere in the organization as things stood. Maybe he would have had better luck if he had stuck it out until JJ Dillon came over and gained power? ​
