Sid Disappearing From The WWE In 1997?

A few weeks ago I asked you about Sid shitting his pants on Raw in 1997. Speaking of which, why did Sid disappear in the middle of 1997? I can remember he was there on a Raw one minute, and then gone the next with no fanfare. Any idea? Thanks again.
