Nepotism in Wrestling

By Scott Keith on 17 August 2016

Besides the obvious Mike and Chris Von Erich, what do you think are the worst examples of nepotism where a wrestler was only pushed because they were related to the promoter or executive?

The worst was George Gulas, by far. Basically Nick Gulas was a hugely successful promoter in Tennessee for most of the 50s and 60s who suddenly insisted on pushing his horribly untalented son George as the only top star of the Memphis area when clearly people wanted Jackie Fargo as the top guy, and it led to a famous split where ex-partner Jerry Jarrett went off on his own and pretty much ran Gulas out of business in the ensuing war.
