Pulling the rug

What do you think is the worst example of a wrestler getting the rug pulled out from under them while they were in the midst of getting over and getting to the major superstar level?
I still cant forgive Triple H for refusing to put Booker T over at Wrestlemania XIX, Booker could have been a bigger star than he was
I’d have to go with RVD post-Invasion. He was super hot and they put him in that No Mercy main event with Austin and then immediately cooled on him and he got shunted back down again. And then they built him up AGAIN for HHH after the brand split, unified all the minor titles for him, and then he just loses to Jericho randomly on RAW to get the belts off him and HHH beats him clean to retain the World title!
