Hi Scott-reading the 11-7-88 flashback and Randy Savage’s drawing power-was he a complete bust as a champion or did he start out strong and just go downhill? Was it because of a lack of a top challenger?


The Dibiase feud did strong numbers to start, and Savage did REALLY strong numbers after the heel turn in early 89, but as you note in the middle there was very little for him to work with in terms of challengers. Overall he did as well as could be expected with Hogan still sticking around, however.
