Reigns and Singles Titles

Up to this point in his career, Roman Reigns has never…NEVER held a singles title. Not in FCW, not in NXT, and not in the WWE. Not saying it’s a prerequisite but at some point you would have thought he would have had some sort of run with a singles title before getting one of the top belts in the world. Is the Giant the last person to have done this?
