The G1 Climax Finals Are Set

From the PPV yesterday, as Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Bad Luck Fale and took the lead in Block A. The only man left who can prevent him from competing in the finals tonight is Hiroshi Tanahashi, who can advance past Nakamura with a victory over Davey Boy Smith Jr right here.. the very last Block A match. In the event of a Tanahashi loss or draw, Nakamura remains in first place thus winning the Block and advancing to the finals. You can cut the tension with a knife, Jesse.

Over in Block B, it also came down to the very last match, the last scheduled match of the tournament. The Main Event! AJ Styles (perhaps breaking his neck in the process) defeated Togi Makabe earlier in the evening, giving Styles the lead in Block B. Kazuchika Okada could tie him with a victory over Minoru Suzuki, and by having defeated Styles on the first night of the tournament Okada would own the tiebreaker (NFL fans understand, I’m sure) and advance to the finals. This tournament hasn’t had a draw yet, keep that in mind as a draw or an Okada loss sends Styles to the finals to face the winner of Block A.
