Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan are tonight’s hosts.  This does not make Heenan happy as it is Monsoon’s first appearance on Prime Time since the format change after February 4.  Monsoon chides Heenan over his behavior on the show over the last few months, noting that viewers have been complaining.

What the World Was Watching: Saturday Night’s Main Event XXVI

Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura handle commentary and they are taped from Austin, Texas.  To put over the Texas setting of the show, McMahon and Ventura open the show on horseback in the aisle.  The card was hyped as “The Tussle in Texas” and took place on April 23.  According to thehistoryofwwe.com, the show drew a crowd of 8,500 fans.

Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan are tonight’s studio hosts.  Monsoon asks Heenan if the Heenan Family is seeing growing defections.  Heenan is aghast at what happened with Andre the Giant at WrestleMania, opining that the big man cannot take directions.  Monsoon makes a good point that Heenan failed to help get Andre out of the ropes at WrestleMania, thereby costing his team the WWF Tag Team Championship.

I Went To Axxess (Video Included)

This was my fourth Axxess and my first on Thursday night, which is the opening session. The layout is roughly the same every year and there’s really no difference in the way the rooms look in any given year save for where stages are. I only did General Admission this year after a VIP session last year and honestly, it’s not that big of a difference unless there’s someone you REALLY want to meet.
