WWE Strips Seth Rollins Of World Heavyweight Title
By Conor Renshaw on 21 October 2025
WWE has stripped Seth Rollins of the World Heavyweight Championship as he is expected to be out of action for a considerable length of time due to injury.
Last night on Raw, which you can read Kat’s full review of here, GM Adam Pearce told Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed that due to their assault on Seth Rollins on last week’s episode of Raw, Rollins has sustained a major injury and has undergone surgery to fix his injury. As a result of this, Pearce said that Rollins has been stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Title and a new champion will be crowned at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1.
CM Punk is already the number one contender for the title, so he is automatically in the match, and Pearce said Punk would face the winner of a Battle Royal that would take place on Raw that night. Neither Breakker nor Reed were a participant in the Battle Royal, and the winner of the match, who is now set to face Punk at SNME, was former World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso.
How Did Seth Rollins Really Get Injured?
Despite the storyline being that Seth Rollins was injured by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in an attack at the end of last week’s episode of Raw, he actually picked up the injury during his Crown Jewel main event match with Cody Rhodes on October 11 in Perth, Australia. The exact nature of Rollins’ injury is unknown, but he has injured his shoulder, and it is severe enough that it has been reported that he could be out of action until after WrestleMania next year.
What do you think about Rollins being stripped of his title? Do you think Bronson Reed or Bron Breakker should have been thrown into the World Title picture? And when Rollins returns, do you think he’ll go straight after the title, or will he focus on taking down his former Vision teammates?
