TNA President Comments On Joe Hendry’s Future Amid WWE Speculation

TNA’s President, Carlos Silva, has spoken about the future of Joe Hendry with the company, amidst growing speculation that he will be moving on to WWE full-time.
Speaking in an interview on the Battleground Podcast, TNA’s President was asked about the future of Joe Hendry in the promotion after reports surfaced last month that Hendry was being phased out of TNA programming due to the expectations that he would be transitioning to WWE full-time by 2026. When asked if Hendry is still a TNA star, Silva replied:
“That’s correct, yes, he is. You know, he is until he’s not, but he is. And Joe’s been great, Joe’s been great for us, and Joe’s been great with WWE and NXT. We’ll continue to sort of work through that as good partners do.”
Whilst this is not an outright confirmation that Hendry will be leaving TNA, it does sound like Silva does expect him to be moving on to become a WWE Superstar in the near future. Hendry has been one of the key players in the WWE/TNA crossover, with his entrance theme “I Believe in Joe Hendry” becoming a hit song, leading to him being featured in numerous TV appearances and debuting in the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania this year.
How Long Has Joe Hendry Been With TNA?
After having a brief stint with the company in 2018, Joe Hendry re-joined TNA in 2022 and has remained with them ever since and capturing the TNA Digital Media Championship in October 2022 and becoming the longest reigning champion with a consecutive reign of 266 days before losing the belt to Kenny King at the 2023 Slammiversary pay-per-view. Hendry continued to gain popularity and eventually captured the TNA World Title at Genesis in 2025. He held the title for 126 days before dropping it to the current champ, Trick Williams, at NXT Battleground back in May.
