The Undertaker Gets Physical On NXT & Santino Marella To Challenge For North American Title

The Undertaker got physical with TNA World Champion Trick Williams on last night’s episode of NXT, and the TNA Director of Authority, Santino Marella, will challenge for the NXT North American Title.

Last night on NXT, the advertised confrontation between The Undertaker and Trick Williams went down, as The Deadman told Williams that he lacked the intensity he once had as NXT Champion. Williams then tried to sucker punch Taker, but The Phenom caught Williams and delivered a chokeslam to close the segment.

The tension between Undertaker and Williams started last week when Williams bullied Undertaker’s season 2 WWE LFG group in a backstage segment, which prompted Undertaker to announce on social media that he would confront Williams on this week’s show.

Besides The Undertaker, Which Other Former WWE Star Returned Last Night?

TNA’s Director of Authority, and former WWE Intercontinental, United States, Tag Team, and Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal Winner, Santino Marella, returned to WWE for the first time since 2020 and will now challenge Ethan Page for the NXT North American Title on July 29.

Page unveiled his new design for his North American Championship last night, which features a Canadian flag belt strap. Marella then interrupted and issued a challenge to Page for the title on next week’s NXT.
