Sheamus leaving WWE, ending near-20-year run with company

Earlier today, news broke courtesy of Fightful.com that Sheamus’s time with WWE is coming to an end, as the two sides failed to agree on a new deal. Sheamus, 48-years old, has been a consistent favorite of the WWE, having debuted on their main roster way back in 2008 after several years in their development system, but also seen his share of injury woes for just as long, with injuries piling up more frequently over the last 5 years. The last we saw of Sheamus on TV, he was chasing the Intercontinental Championship in his quest to complete the Grand Slam, but hasn’t been available since November.
