Multiple Title Matches Announced For NXT Halloween Havoc

Ricky Saints’ first title defence was one of multiple title matches announced for Halloween Havoc on the latest edition of NXT.

Ricky Saints opened the October 14th episode of NXT and addressed the man who abandoned Team NXT the previous week, Trick Williams. After telling the former champion he was “deluded” and “stupid,” Saints offered him a chance to prove him wrong at Halloween Havoc.

“With all that being said, I’d like to give you the opportunity to prove me wrong about all that, Trick Williams. You know, there are a lot of people who have held this championship and they have waited for people to become Number 1 Contender, or they’ve waited for a battle royal.

“I am Ricky Saints, this is the absolute era, and guess what, I’m calling my shot. So, prove me wrong Tricky, I’m calling you out at Halloween Havoc for the NXT Championship.”

Williams answered the challenge, saying he would face Saints on his own time. Later in the night, he launched a backstage attack on the champion. When Saints couldn’t find him to get revenge, General Manager Ava confirmed the match would happen and a contract signing would take place next week.

Elsewhere on the show, it was announced that things will finally come to a head between Ethan Page and El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr when Page agreed to put his North American Title on the line in an anything goes ‘Day of the Dead’ match at the PLE.

Meanwhile, The Hardys made an appearance, telling Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans that the previous week’s attack was likely a shot at them and confirmed they will put the NXT Tag Team Titles on the line against the group on October 25th.

Then, in the main event, Tatum Paxley was victorious in a battle royal, winning a shot at Jacy Jayne’s NXT Women’s Championship after last eliminating Jordynne Grace and Izzy Dame.
