John Cena Vs. AJ Styles Set For WWE Crown Jewel

It’s official, John Cena will face AJ Styles at WWE Crown Jewel on October 11.

Announced by Triple H on Twitter yesterday, after both John Cena and AJ Styles went back on forth on social media calling for the match to be made, it was made official that Cena vs. Styles is happening at Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia at Crown Jewel. The other matches that are confirmed for the card are Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins for the men’s Crown Jewel Championship and Stephanie Vaquer vs. the winner of this Friday’s Triple Threat match on SmackDown between Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, and Nia Jax for Stratton’s Women’s Championship, for the women’s Crown Jewel Title.

When Did John Cena And AJ Styles Last Face Each Other One-On-One?

AJ Styles and John Cena last clashed in a singles match on the February 27, 2018, episode of SmackDown in the main event, which went for over 20 minutes and saw Cena get the best of Styles in the non-title bout. The pair have had four singles matches against each other since 2016, and they are currently tied with two wins each, meaning the winner of this match will have the advantage over the other in terms of wins.

Cena is coming into this match off the back of a loss against Brock Lesnar at last Saturday’s Wrestlepalooza, and Styles’ last televised match saw him defeat El Grande Americano on the September 8 episode of Raw.
