Jacy Jayne To Defend TNA Knockouts Title At NXT Heatwave

Jacy Jayne will put the TNA Knockouts Championship on the line at NXT Heatwave.

At TNA Slammiversary in July, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne challenged Masha Slamovich for the TNA Knockouts Title. The match saw involvement from the rest of Fatal Influence, but despite TNA stars Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee stopping their interference, Jayne was still able to overcome Slamovich and hit the Rolling Encore to become the first woman to hold both the NXT and TNA Knockouts Titles.

Since her victory, Jayne has defended the Knockouts Championship twice on Impact, first against Slamovich and then Ash By Elegance. Both matches ended in disqualification, with Ash attacking Slamovich and Slamovich returning the favour the following week.

Slamovich and Ash made their presence felt on the August 12th edition of NXT, coming through the crowd to watch Jayne and Fallon Henley be defeated by Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan.

Later in the show, NXT GM Ava announced that Jayne will defend the Knockouts Title in a Triple Threat match at Heatwave on August 24th, against both Masha Slamovich and Ash By Elegance.

The event will also see the next challenger for Jayne’s NXT Women’s Title determined as Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan, and Lola Vice face off in another Triple Threat bout.
