Injured WWE Star Ridge Holland Provides Update Following Surgery

By Conor Renshaw on 5 October 2025

WWE star Ridge Holland has provided an update on his future following his recent surgery to repair a leg injury.

Ridge Holland picked up an injury at TNA’s TV tapings in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, last week during a match with Moose, and the match had to be stopped as Holland was unable to bear any weight on his foot. Holland later confirmed via social media that he had, in fact, suffered a Lisfranc injury, which is an injury that affects the Lisfranc joint (a joint that connects the forefoot and the midfoot) and its surrounding ligaments and bones, and that he would require surgery to repair the injury.

Holland posted a video to Twitter on Saturday after his surgery, letting his fans know that the surgery was successful and that he is now recovering and is taking this ordeal as a learning experience and is looking forward to stepping back into the ring when he is fully healed. Prior to his injury, Holland had been working on WWE Evolve, last appearing on the September 10 episode, NXT House Shows, and had competed the night before his injury at TNA Victory Road, suffering a defeat to Mike Santana.

How Long Has Ridge Holland Been With WWE?

Ridge Holland joined WWE in 2018 after a brief stint on the UK independent scene, starting his wrestling career in 2016 after being trained by UK wrestling legend Marty Jones. He briefly competed on the main roster under the SmackDown brand from 2021 until 2023, when he re-joined NXT.

Prior to his wrestling endeavours, he was a Rugby League player, having played for teams such as the Hull Kingston Rovers, York City Knights, and the Halifax Panthers.

Do you think Holland will be back in the ring following this injury? And if so, do you think he will go back to wrestling for WWE? Or will he continue competing on TNA?
