AJ Styles Returns To TNA At Slammiversary & 3 Titles Change Hands

As was advertised on last Thursday’s episode of Impact, AJ Styles made his return to TNA for the first time in over a decade at Slammiversary. Also, 3 titles changed hands at the pay-per-view.

Styles’ return to the promotion came following Leon Slater defeating Moose to become the new X Division Champion. As Slater was celebrating his victory, Styles’ old TNA entrance music hit, and he came to the ring.

Styles addressed the crowd, asking them, “Did you miss me?” He then spoke of Slater and the legacy of the X Division, and as the crowd chanted “you deserve it” to Slater, Styles told the young champion that he didn’t deserve it; he earned it.

Besides AJ Styles’ Return And Leon Slater’s Title Win, What Else Happened At Slammiversary?

Joining Slater in winning championship gold at Slammiversary were Matt and Jeff Hardy, who won the TNA World Tag Team Championship by defeating Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth, AJ Francis and KC Navarro, and Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz in a Four-Way Ladder Match.

And NXT’s Jacy Jayne won the winner-takes-all match between herself and former Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich to become both the NXT Women’s and TNA Knockouts Champion.
