The SmarK Rant for The Best of Memphis TV Yearbook – Volume 1
OK so there seems to be some demand for me to check out this stuff on Tubi, so we’ll start here with one of the greatest runs ever, IMO.
(Reposting this one that I did a couple of years back because apparently y’all forgot about it already! Redo of Starrcades 91 and 92 likely coming later this week as well.)
The SmarK Rant for NWA Starrcade 89 FUTURE SHOCK! – 12.13.89
I don’t know why this one is hanging over my head like the Sword of Damocles lately but let’s get it redone so you’ll kindly shut the hell up. Which I mean in the nicest way possible.
The SmarK Rant for Mid-South Wrestling – 01.08.83
Whoops, I had skipped ahead to the first episode of 1983 a couple of months ago because I wanted to get going on these again, and then promptly forgot about that plan and did other stuff instead. Getting old is rough, man.
Also I’m really gonna have to dive into World Class again one day as we get closer to The Iron Claw.
Come on, I know people are saying Gino but he’s gotta be Lance Von Erich. It just fits his Uber-troll personality. Either way I am so stoked for this movie. Especially to see it with the normies who have no clue what they’re getting into.
EXCLUSIVE: A24’s wrestling pic ‘The Iron Claw’ from Cannes and Sundance prize-winning filmmaker Sean Durkin is getting a new dash of authenticity, with the addition to the cast of professional wrestler Maxwell Jacob Friedman https://t.co/cLkEAXiu9B

The SmarK Rant for WWF Superstars – 08.13.94
Daylight Savings Time has struck again everywhere in the western world except for Saskatchewan so once again I’m befuddled as to when I should be posting these. So if they’re up later or earlier, that’s why.
Just a couple of episodes left before Summerslam and then I’m wrapping this show up for good.
The SmarK Rant for Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling – 07.31.82
It’s the weekly dose of pick-me-up for Daryl Stewart in his mostly successful fight with cancer thus far! Are Slaughter’s Privates a cure for cancer after all? Huge if true.
I know you’re all still reeling like me from the heel turn of Bad Leroy Brown last week!
Taped from Charlotte, NC
Your host is Bob Caudle
The SmarK Rant for AEW Rampage – 11.04.22
I just got done watching “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” so this show is gonna have a hard time topping it for batshit craziness, I think.
Hold on, apparently Orange Cassidy is defending the All-Atlantic title against Shibata in the main event? With Mike Tyson on commentary?
Challenge accepted, then.
WWE's Crown Jewel press conference must been seen to be believed.
Stephanie McMahon and Paul Levesque thanked the King and Crown Prince.
They gifted GEA Chairman He Turki Alalshika a WWE title belt. There were "MBS" chants.https://t.co/uCqdVcSvTH

…and that’s why I don’t tend to review these shows as a rule.
The SmarK Rant for NWA Power Hour – 03.16.90
Taped from Rockhill, SC. Were they struggling to come up with a name for the city and just started putting nouns together? There’s a city in Alberta called Carstairs and I often wonder if they used that same method. They should change it to RAW KILL, because that sounds more badass.
Your hosts are Jim Ross & Gordon Solie
The SmarK Rant for WCW Monday Nitro – 10.13.97
OK, time to give Monday Nitro some attention instead of RAW all the time. We’re about a month ahead with the WWF now anyway.
WHEN WE LAST LEFT OFF…
Technically that one was written 15 years or so ago in the WWE 24/7 days, but I want to get these caught up to RAW again so we’re moving on.
LIVE from Tampa, FL, drawing 12,000.
The SmarK Rant for Coliseum Video presents Grudge Match
I should note that the cover of the tape calls this “Grudge Matches” but the actual name of the tape is Grudge MATCH, singular. There was a much crappier version in 1995 that was called Grudge Matches, for those keeping track.
Released March 27 1986 as we return to the glory days of the original Coliseum Videos again.
Hosted by Gorilla Monsoon, who warns us about HATRED going far beyond the boundaries of the squared circle, and cautions us that some of these are particularly violent. Well I’m writing this on Halloween night so that’s fitting.
The SmarK Rant for WCW Halloween Havoc 1990 – 10.27.90
Well, I give up waiting for the WWE Network to upload the full PPV version of this show, so let’s redo the Turner Home Video version that they put up there because it’s very due for a redo and of course Halloween Havoc returns tonight, and ‘tis the season and all. Plus I’ve always liked this show anyway.
