Evening Daily News Update: June 23, 2026

Good evening doomers, and welcome to your Evening Daily News Update for Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026. We have WWE NXT for our wrestling consumption, but the NBA is the hot topic as the Giannis lottery paid out and the former MVP and NBA Champion is moving to South Beach as the Heat gave up a ton of picks and rotation pieces to have a ridiculously jank roster. Bam and Giannis together? Impressive… but the rest of the roster is clearly under reconstruction as well, with questionable pieces still remaining and aprons to avoid. We also have the NBA Draft starting tonight, and who knows what other trades could be finalized. We already saw Minnesota ship Julius Randle to Brooklyn in another example of a salary dump to avoid penalties.

It’s a full lineup tonight, as we we get not one but TWO contract signings for Great American Bash! The Men’s Evolve Championship will be defended, BirthRight is in action, and much more, with the action kicking off at 8pm ET on the CW.
