WWE Facing ‘Significant’ Visa Issues

WWE is reportedly dealing with significant visa issues affecting some talent, according to Bryan Alvarez. The situation follows similar problems across the wrestling industry, including AEW stars Komander and The Beast Mortos being unable to work in the United States, while Stardom was forced to alter WrestleMania weekend plans earlier this year due to visa delays. WWE has also been working to secure visas for additional AAA talent ahead of future events in the United States.

Canadian to Be Deported After Insanity Verdict in Liv Morgan Trial

A man accused of stalking WWE star Liv Morgan has been found not guilty by reason of insanity and will be transferred to ICE custody for deportation to Canada. Shawn Chan travelled from Canada to Morgan’s Florida home, where he allegedly loitered on the property, attempted to break in, carried a pellet gun, and left a note before leaving. He was later arrested by the FBI after being identified by WWE Performance Center staff and was facing an interstate domestic violence charge.

Former WWE Star Addresses CM Punk-steroid Speculation

Former WWE star Stevie Richards addressed recent speculation about CM Punk’s more muscular appearance, stressing that nobody knows whether Punk has used performance-enhancing drugs except Punk and any medical professionals involved. Speaking on his podcast, Richards said he initially thought viral photos of Punk looked altered and declined to make any accusations. He echoed comments from Ryback, who defended Punk and suggested the physical transformation could simply be the result of improved training, nutrition and recovery. Richards also discussed the wider debate around steroid use in wrestling, noting that speculation is often impossible to verify and ultimately saying his main concern is Punk’s long-term health.

AEW Announces Unique Musical Theatre Partnership

AEW has announced a partnership to bring The Last Match: A Pro-Wrestling Rock Experience to London ahead of its return to the city for All In. The immersive production, which debuted in New Jersey in 2022, will take over a 52,000-square-foot venue in London’s West End and combine elements of a rock musical, a theatrical performance, and a professional wrestling show. Set around a wrestler’s final pay-per-view appearance, the experience will feature an original 1980s-inspired rock soundtrack, live wrestling, comedy, romance and larger-than-life characters, with themes focused on retirement, legacy, family and life after wrestling.
