TNA Impact Review – June 4, 2026

By Scott Herrin on 4 June 2026

Greetings all, and welcome to another episode of TNA Wrestling. We wrap up this taping cycle in Sacramento, California. Sacramento considers itself the “Farm-to-Fork” Capital of America given its agriculture resources and 40 Farmers Markets here. So, let’s see if we can “produce” some excitement as we have a pear of aces on the mic with Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt. Gia Miller is not here but McKenzie Mitchell is a peach of a ringside announcer. So, lettuce sit back and relax, and enjoy these salad days of wrestling and engage in some Impactful Discourse. Shall we? We shall.

(As always, here’s hoping you enjoy this review. And, here’s hoping you enjoy the show reviews of our fellow writers. They do amazing work and blessed to be part of them. Give them a read and some comments. And now, our feature presentation.)

Previously on Impact: We get highlights of the match last week between Santino Marella and his daughter, Arianna Grace (with “Stacks” Lorenzo in tow.) We get Daria Rae giving the high sign for the match tonight. We also get highlights of the Vincent vs. Matt Hardy match from two weeks ago with the appearance of Willow and the announcement of the “Wicked Garden” match.

Eddie Edwards (with the System in tow) vs. BDE

Warning buzzers and Alisha Edwards announcement trumpet Edwards and the System’s walk to the ring. BDE is next to a decent pop. BDE and Alisha talk trash to each other, which distracts BDE enough for Edwards to attack him. However, BDE reversed it and hit a springboard reverse flying body press off the ropes and then hit an arm drag off the reops. Edwards went to the floor and BDE capitalized by leaping between the ropes and dove on Edwards. BDE threw Edwards back into the ring and leapt on the top turnbuckle but Edwards recovered to shove BDE and BDE straddled the turnbuckle fasteners.

Edwards went to work on BDE in the corner, hitting a belly to back superplex for a two count. Edwards worked BDE along the ropes as Hannifan ran down the rest of tonight’s action. Edwards thwarted a BDE rally in the corner. BDE did muster a rally by backflipping out of another belly to back suplex and landed a series of punches on Edwards. BDE hit a clothesline off the ropes and a corner splash. BDE also reversed a clothesline off the ropes into a reverse DDT for a two count.

BDE went for a Clip Cutter but Edwards blocked it. BDE blocked a Blue Thunder Bomb into an arm drag and then hit a rolling Code Breaker. BDE got the crowd riled bit Alisha jumped on the apron to continue to hurl insults at each other. BDE blocked an Alisha slap and held her as Edwards recovered. However, BDE evaded an Edwards charge. Alisha was spared the impact (hey…) and BDE got a rollup for two-and-a-fraction. NOW, BDE hit the Clip Cutter (springboard cutter) for another two-and-a-fraction. BDE protested but climbed to the top turnbuckle, only for Brian Myers to distract him.

BDE kicked Myers away as Bear Bronson and Cedric Alexander distracted the referee. With order restored, BDE attempted a flying bodypress but Edwards blocked it with his knees. Speaking of knees, Edwards went to the corner and hit the Boston Knee Party for the victory.

Post-Match: The entire System climbed in the ring and taunted BDE until Fabian Aichner’s music hit and Aichner made a beeline to the ring. He leapt on the ropes and hit a springboard bodypress to take out the entire system (aside from Bronson.) However, Bronson wasn’t spared Aichner’s wrath and Aichner beat Bronson with a series of punches and an uppercut. However, Bronson stopped “Il Gladiatore” with a chokeslam and the rest of the System beat on both Aichner ad BDE until Leon Slater appeared and hit a flying kick on Alexander on the rampway.

Slater took out the System sans Bronson. All three faces hit superkicks (including a triple superkick) to send Bronson to the floor. With the crowd’s approval, Slater leapt over the ringpost and leapt on the System, dropping them on the floor. The System made their way to up the rampway as the faces celebrated in the ring.

We cut to a vignette of the Righteous with a close up of a rose. Vincent people keep using the words “manipulation,” “betrayal” and “mind games.” What people need to understand is that the Righteous created the Hardys. The “Wicked Garden” is the next step in the evolution of the Hardys. Dutch said the Garden looms and are invited to their home. But, they will not leave the same way as they entered. All life must transform – the caterpillar turns to a butterfly; the flower must die so it can bloom into something new. The garden is alive and it breathes, watches and feeds, Vincent continued. Tonight, will be something no has seen before – dig what he’s saying? We cut to a shot of the Hardys walking through a forest as silhouettes of the Righteous are shown in the background.

That’s the main event, but next we get A J Francis and the continuation of his angle with Elijah (not Holyfield)..after the break.

During the break, we get another replay of the Classic Slammiversary ad on TNAPlus with Kenny Omega vs. Sami Callihan.

We come back to see Francis already heading to the ring. He wants to re-introduce himself after thanking the crowd. He is the best big man in the business and that business is money, money, money (the crowd chanted along with that.) 2026 has been a big year for him, he lost a lot of weight. He lost about 300 pounds of dead weight by kicking K C Navarro and Rich Swann to the curb. If hold them up, they still only make one person and that would be half of Francis.

This year, he lost half of him, but half of him produces masterpiece after masterpiece. Since he is on hallowed ground where the Rolling Stones, Beach Boys, Tina Turner and Santana played (the real Santana, not that “fraud champion,” Mike Santana.) He decided he would the performance of the artist of this generation – him. He was going to debut his new single, “Walk.”
He asked the DJ to hit it and we hear the guitar strum but it is just sample as A J nods to the beat and starts to rap. It’s not….it’s not good.

However, we get the “real” guitar strum and we hear Elijah start to speak. He said he came out just in time but had a question for Sacramento and that is who wants to walk with Elijah? He was in the back just playing guitar and heard his guitar strum and hear his music. He heard someone started talking about “walk.” Elijah had to see this for himself.

Francis rebutted that this is his intellectual property and pointed to the “album cover.” Elijah said he obviously photoshopped Francis’ head on his body. Elijah said this is ridiculous (shoot comments that weren’t meant to be???) and asked where he got this? Clearly, Francis said, that is his face on his body as he mentioned he was on a fitness journey. Elijah said he on a journey – on the way to humiliate himself in front of the fans. Elijah said he had a song he wanted to sing for the fans. Elijah said he had some fun but the joke is over and he is not laughing anymore.

Francis said what was funny was this; he handed a piece of paper to Elijah and said he had been served a “cease and desist” letter. After meeting with his “music manager” (very above board meeting, according to Francis,) he acquired the name, image and likeness of Elijah, Elias and Ezekiel. But, that’s not it, he also acquired Elijah’s entire music catalog so Francis owns him.

The crowd started to chant “walk with Elijah,” he is going to sing an original song he just thought called “No Skill Uncle Phil.” But before he could start, Francis clobbered him with the mic and put the court order on him (Elijah bled from the shot.) Francis did his money taunt and walked up the rampway.

We go backstage to Santino Marella and Indi Hartwell getting ready in the back. Marella started to shadowbox with Hartwell. Rae walked into the shot and wished them good luck and said she had nothing to do with his contract. She walked away as Hartwell and Marella complained whilst continuing to get ready.

We go to another break and another replay of the LAX vs. Homicide and Hernandez battle for the Classic Slammiversary ad on TNAPlus.

We come back to another backstage segment with..Elayna Black. Okay. She said last week she did the same thing she does every week in the Champion’s challenge; she outperformed everybody else in the ring. Let’s talk about something that everyone already knows (then why?) she is better than every single woman in the Knockout’s Division, including Ash, Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside. She singled out Hartwell and started to talk about her involvement in Marella’s family drama and how desperate she is to kiss up to the boss. Deep down, she can’t survive on her talent by herself. She is not like Black and Black will be the next TNA Knockouts champion, whether people like it or not. She welcomes us to the era of Black.

Speaking of Hartwell and family drama, it’s time for the next match

Arianna Grace and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo vs. Santino Marella and Indi Hartwell

Lorenzo and Grace brought the “Birthright” music and chryon from NXT (step down, actually.) As Rae and Lorenzo make their way ringside we cut to Hannifan and Rehwoldt and their guest in the announce table, Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian is adorned in Athletics color and said not since Jose Canseco has someone made yellow and green look good. In the ring, Lorenzo mocked the “cobra.” Hartwell was out next to a good pop. Marella soon joined her with his music and was focused on his daughter and son-in-law. Hannifan asked Kazarian what he would do since he is a dad. Kazarian said he did not know and this one tugs at the heart strings. Meanwhile, kissing is engaged (from Lorenzo and Grace.)

Marella and Lorenzo started the match but Lorenzo immediately tagged Grace. Grace taunted her dad and shoved her repeatedly. Eventually, a shove to the face was the final straw as Hartwell entered the ring and speared Grace. The two started to brawl before Marella calmed his partner. Meanwhile, Lorenzo tagged and Lorenzo stated to beat on Marella in the corner. Lorenzo teased another punch and did an eye poke before more kissing ensued (again, between Grace and Lorenzo.)

Marella had enough and started to rally in the corner. Marella hit a judo throw from a side headlock reversal for a two count. Marella ducked a Lorenzo clothesline off the ropes into a sleeperhold. Lorenzo struggled to break the hold but did with a series of elbows and a sliding clothesline.

Marella tried to rally but a back elbow off the ropes dropped the Director of Authority. Lorenzo started to taunt Marella but Marella recovered for an armbar submission until Grace interrupted the submission attempt. That brought Hartwell into the ring and all four started to brawl. Lorenzo and Grace attempted to throw the two into each other but the faces did the do-si-do reversal and hit flying corner splashes. Hartwell and Marella chopped away in the corner and they hit stereo 10-punch turnbuckle punches.

Grace and Lorenzo asked for time out and Grace beat a retreat out of the ring. Lorenzo made it to the ropes and hit a back elbow on Marella. Lorenzo started to beat on Marella as the crowd chanted they wanted the cobra (well, that makes the number of people there ummmm..that amount.) Meanwhile, Marella rallied again and started to chop away on Lorenzo in the corner.

Marella grabbed another sleeperhold and cinched in until Grace interrupted the submission. Lorenzo took advantage by attacking Lorenzo and stomping on Marella’s face as we go stomp away to another commercial break. We come back from a quick break to see Lorenzo taunting Marella with his trombone celebration. However, Lorenzo continued to taunt Marella with his saluting diving headbutt. However, Marella moved out of the way.

Marella backdropped a charging Lorenzo over the ropes and to the floor. Hartwell and Grace tagged and Hartwell immediately took charge with a series of running clotheslines. She also sent Lorenzo back to the floor with a running boot and hit a spinebuster on Grace for a two count. She got Grace on her shoulders but Grace escaped and pushed Hartwell to the ropes. Lorenzo grabbed Hartwell’s leg. Hartwell stomped on Lorenzo’s hand but Grace recovered to hit the assisted kneelift off the ropes.

Grace stomped away on Hartwell in the corner and hit a spinning neckbreaker for a two count. Marella tried to reach for a tag but reached too far and flipped into the ring (paging Maffew, paging Mr. Maffew; you’re wanted in the Botchamania ward.) Luckily, Marella landed on his feet and went back to the apron. Grace continued to beat on Hartwell in the corners. After a vertical suplex, Grace hit a sliding forearm smash off the ropes for a two count. Grace cinched in a sleeperhold of her own but Hartwell made it to her feet. Grace got Hartwell on her shoulders but Hartwell escaped. Both ladies hit simultaneous clotheslines and both collapsed to the ring.

They recovered and Hartwell got the hot tag on Marella. Marella beat on Lorenzo and hit the hiptoss of the ropes (complete with splits action) and then he hit the actual saluting headbutt to Lorenzo. Marella grabbed the cobra but Grace took it away from her. Grace taunted her dad which gave Lorenzo time to recover and grab Marella. Yup, it’s wacky heel mis-communication time as Marella escaped and Grace hit Lorenzo with the “cobra.” Lorenzo sold it like a gun shot. Now, Hartwell grabbed the “cobra” and we got a surprise, Hartwell had one, too (oh nice, matching set.) They did the taunt and they hit the heels. Marella got the pin on Lorenzo and the victory.

Post-Match: Kazarian said “Cobra” is no longer a mediocre Sylvester Stallone movie as the highlights were replayed. Rehwoldt was beside himself as the faces celebrated in the ring.

Meanwhile, we see Eric Young meander his way through the hallways and we get to hear from him…after the break.

During the break, we get another replay of the Classic Slammivesary ad featuring Knockouts action.
We come back to see Mr. Elegance getting warmed up for his match with Lee. The Personal Concierge and the By Elegance Brand were asking him why he wore a Bunny’s head (from last week’s encounter with the Undead Realm gang.) Mr. Elegance had no recollection of it despite M’s best efforts. Heather and the PC asked how he was feelings and if Mr. E was on any prescribed medication. Heather thought Mr. E was gaslighting them and the PC thought this was a type of scheme to mess with them. PC didn’t realize he could do comedy. The lights blinked and the “Undead Realm” gang appeared and scared the Brand away. Rosemary that it was too easy and like shooting fish in a barrel. She did say that it was a good training run for Mara Sade. The three (Allie in tow) giggled as we go back to ringside.

Young made his way to the ring and asked if we felt the change in the air. He had been warning us for months that this place is sick and needed to be cleansed (and yeah, he is getting the “what” treatment. Great.) Joe Hendry was a fraud and Young exposed him (ewwww.) Ricky Sosa was a flash in the pan and a pretender and was dealt. EC3 was a former king looking for his crown and Young got rid of him.

A few weeks ago, he won the battle royale and fate laid everything out the way it was supposed to be. He addressed Santana by saying he walks around with the title and represents the people. Young sees through him – he sees the truth. The truth is that he is sick like everyone else with ego and addiction to people’s applause and approval. Young will beat him because he doesn’t need that, he is above that.

BUT WAIT, Santana’s music hit and he made his way up a concourse and through the crowd to ringside. The crowd still loves him. Hannifan said he has defeated four previous World Champions in his second run with the title. A loud “Santana” chant emerged as Santana asked Sacramento what’s good (again, not the Kings. A’s look pretty good, though..) He addressed Young in Spanish. In English, he said all he hears from Young is a bitter man that his actions make him important and relevant. Santana said Young has not been relevant for 15 years ((get aloe vera, stat. We got us a burn.)

Santana said Young talks about cleansing TNA and did mention Sosa and EC3 are gone. But, if he thinks in his big bald head that taking him out is going to make him the savior of this place? Young interrupted him and said no one has been in TNA longer than him. He has seen superstars, champions and management come and go but he is still here. He has seen TNA rot from the inside thanks to people like Santana. His ego and selfishness is poisoning TNA.

Santana interrupted said absolutely not. What is poisoning this place is people like Young thinking that since they have been here for so long that it gets them a sense of seniority and ownership. All it does it make old him old enough to try and fail. Young asked if he thinks the people care about him. The crowd started to cheer but Young continued. All the fans care about is a shiny new toy but that shine eventually wanes. When it does, the fans will chew him out and spit him out like they did to him.

Young said he survived this long is because he understands this place for what it is really is. He is the only willing to bend down and pick it up and fix it. He is going to piledrive Santana, take his title and reclaim his power. Santana said Young makes him laugh. Young knows that Santana is a man of his word and in front of God and his dad, next week he will break his foot in Young’s glutes.

Santana is tired of hearing Young talk as is the fans, so why wait until next week and instead, have the match now. Santana tried to get the crowd riled but Young kicked him in the groin and hit his piledriver. Santana was prone on the mat as Young grabbed the title and held it high.

Speaking of being prone (and after a quick ad for AMC’s “Over Your Dead Body) we get the BioFlex Injury report (sponsored by, you guessed it, AMC’s “Over Your Dead Body.) They reviewed Elijah’s cut on his ear from Francis’ shot. Elijah is under evaluation. Medical staff is o high alert for the “Wicked Garden” match between the Righteous and the Hardys. And..yeah, that’s it.

We get some hype for the main event but we get intergender action…after the break. We also get another ad for Classic Slammiversary collection on TNAPlus. It is a replay of highlights from the Tessa Blanchard vs. Sami Callihan for the TNA Heavyweight title match.

We come back to Mustafa Ali (with order Four flanking him.) Ali wanted to talk about the Champion’s Challenge match last week where Navarro pinned him and earned an International Title match. The victory was a fluke and mistake. It Is not right. There is no aspect in wrestling where Navarro is better than him. He called Navarro a pink-haired freak.

Ali is not a god but in the ring next week, Navarro will bow his head to him. This will happen as long as everyone sticks to the plan. As he said that, he glared at Tasha Steelz, who looked dejected. Ali walked off screen followed by Order Four. However, Jason Hotch gave her a reassuring pat on the arm and they walked out together.

We go back to Hannifan and Rehwoldt who recap the previous segment with Young and Santana.

Lei Ying Lee vs. Mr. Elegance

. We come back to the Personal Concierge who has a message for the Knockouts champion from “Ch-ch-China” (done in a good Donald Trump cadence.) Lee needs to learn about class and respect. If she hasn’t any, they will have to beat some in her. And they have someone to do that, Mr. Elegance (in Mr. Kennedy/Anderson cadence.)

Mr. Elegance headed out with the By Elegance in tow. As they headed to ringside, we go back to Hannifan and Rehwoldt who have another special guest at the table – Brookside. She doesn’t know why she is here since this is utterly ridiculous (that is, a man vs. a woman.) She asked why Lee is involved with this.

Hannifin asked about a future title shot she earned last week. She said she is going to watch this match and see the By Elegance brand demolish Lee. Hannifan said if it wasn’t for the Brand, Brookside might not have a title shot. Brookside said that is so disrespectful.

Lee is out next with her usual aplomb. Hannifan asked Brookside about Lee getting two world titles before Brookside had any. She said she only got those titles because of her. She supported her every step of the way. Hannifin recapped her story and Brookside didn’t want to hear it, saying everyone goes through hardships. Rehwoldt pointed out that Brookside traveled across an ocean to get here, which Brookside appreciated. Hannifan brought up Brookside’s father (British wrestling legend Robbie Brookside.) He talked about the friendship he had with Mr. Brookside and how they bring up the relationship during matches. Brookside countered saying he doesn’t respect Hannifan and her dad thinks Hannifan sucks.

In the ring Mr. Elegance threw Lee to the mat and worked the arm. Lee escaped with a reversal and a leg trip and then mocked Mr. Elegances gyrations. Lee hiptossed Elegance off the ropes and taunted elegance once again. She got the 10-punch corner spot until the entire By Elegance Brand got on the apron to interrupt her. The referee had enough and ejected them (with a little Mr. Elegance gyration) to backstage. The crowd got to sing Steam’s “Na, Na, Hey, Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye.)

Lee attempted an exploder suplex on Mr. E but could not lift him. Mr. E threw her to the mat. Mr. E yanked on Lee’s hair and did his gyration with her between his legs. He fell back into a headscissors and then did the “Devil’s Kiss” on Lee. Brookside said Hannifan should not be so sensitive. Brookside said Lee is too sensitive and crying in the corner and is not a warrior.

Meanwhile, Lee started to rally with a series of strikes and then attempted a sunset flip off the ropes. Mr. E tried to hang on (and gyrate) as Lee tried to complete the move. Eventually, Mr. E sat on her for a two count. Mr. E walloped Lee with a punch after dodging a roundhouse kick.

Mr. E taunted Lee in the corner but Lee avoided a corner charge and threw Mr. E into the turnbuckles. Lee landed a series of chops and kicks and Mr. E staggered around the ring. Lee blocked a Mr. E kick and cinched in an ankle lock and made Mr. E crawl to the ropes to break the hold. Lee yanked Mr. E out of the corner into a powerbomb for two. Lee again tried to lift Mr. Elegance on her shoulders but was unsuccessful. Mr. E escaped and dropped Lee with a slap.

Mr. E climbed to the top rope but lee recovered and hit the turnbuckles. Mr. Elegance straddled the turnbuckles in pain and NOW Lee got Mr. Elegance on her shoulders and got the Warriors Way until Brookside left the announce table and jumped on the apron. Lee knocked her to the floor (in a good bump.) Meanwhile, Mr. Elegance recovered and eyeraked Lee. As Lee writhed and staggered around the ring, Mr. Elegance hit the Excusez-Moi for the victory.

Post-Match: Brookside grabbed a mic and stood over Lee. Brookside made the announcement that at Slammiversary it will Brookside vs. Lee for the Knockouts world title and the title be coming to her. She walked up the rampway.

We get hype for the main event as both teams meander backstage and that match is..after the break.

We comeback after another ad for the Classic Slammiversary collection on TNAPlus to Hannifin and Rehwoldt talking about the “Wicked Garden” match. The ring is wrapped in flowers (wrapped in barbed wire) and two of the corners are lined with lattice.

“Wicked Garden” Match The Righteous (with flower people in tow) vs. The Hardys

The young lady in the chryon tells us “the Righteous are coming.” The slide guitar and snapping confirm that (as does Mitchell who does the weird inflection on “righteous.”) One of the flower girls put a wreath of flowers on Vincent as Dutch is wearing a heavy flower laden jacket. Their “followers” surround the ring as we get ready for the Hardys. We hear the “yeeeesssss” and hear the piano music to signify the Hardys entrance (there are dressed in “Broken Matt” and “Brother Nero” gear.) They still greet the fans and walk around the flower people and taunt them behind their back.

Matt got a “delete” chant going as the four looked at each other (the flower people headed back up the rampway.) Meanwhile, we head to another commercial break and yes, another Classic Slammivesary ad on TNAPlus.

We come back to the bell ring and the match started (Jeff tried to throw his shirt to the crowd but it escaped from him and landed on the floor. He picked it up and NOW he threw it into the crowd. (Paging Mr. Maffew…)

Jeff and Vincent immediately paired as Matt and Dutch paired. The Righteous tried to throw the Hardys into the ropes but they stopped themselves. The Righteous tried to throw Matt into the lattice (also wrapped in barbed wire) but stopped short. They tried to do the same with Jeff but Matt stopped him. Instead, Dutch charged and they hiptossed Dutch into the barbed-wire wrapped lattice.) A “this is awesome” chant emerged (not really.)

Vinent clotheslined Jeff and Matt and then threw Jeff into the barbed wire reops and then wrapped the arm around the barbed wire. Matt grabbed Vincent in a sleeperhold and then dropped him to the mat. Matt grabbed a small gardening spike and ran it into Dutch. Mat ran the tool across the head of Dutch as Jeff choked Vincent. However, Vincent hit a Side Effect on Matt.

Vincent grabbed some barbed wire and raked Matt’s forehead with it. Jeff came to the rescue and hit the inverted atomic drop/wishbone legdrop, seated dropkick/elbow drop for a two count. Dutch gabbed Matt but Matt fended him did the Hardys did a combo wishbone legdrop/normal legdrop combination. They whipped Vincent into the ropes and hit a double back elbow which led to the combo flip legdrop and fist drop spot for a two count.

Both members of the Righteous went to the floor. The Hardys followed suit and the two brawled around the floor. Vincent ran Matt into the barbed wire ropes as Jeff hit Dutch with a bottle of A-Game Hydration as he wit our last set of commercials.

We come back to the Righteous beating on Matt in the ring. Dutch slammed Jeff face first into the barbed wire lattice and Vincent hit a seated DDT on the lattice. Dutch beat on Jeff on the apron. As Jeff slumped to the floor they threw some lattice on him. Dutch started to beat on Matt again on he floor and threw him into the ring. Dutch choked Matt and got a two count. Meanwhile, Vincent wrapped Jeff in barbed wire and threw him into the ring.

Vincent wrapped some of the barbed wire around his hand and beat on Jeff. In the other corner, Matt wrapped his hand in barbed wire and hit a low blow. Matt was wrapped in barbed wire on the apron (even in his hair and his arm.) The brothers still managed to hit the Plot Twist on Vincent for a two count. The Hardys wrapped the barbed wire around Vincent’s head and puled with all their might. Dutch tried to help but got double suplexed for his efforts (another “this is awesome” chant emerged and again, no.)

The brothers grabbed some barbed wire and wrapped it around the mouth of Dutch (ewww..) and pulled. Vincent came to the rescue and beat on both Jeff and Matt. However, the Hardys recovered and whipped Vincent into the corner and hit the Poetry in Motion. They did the same to Dutch. A Side Effect got a two count for Matt.

Matt grabbed Dutch to hit the Twist of Fate as Jeff grabbed the barbed wire lattice in the corner. Jeff climbed the to the top. Dutch pushed Matt into the lattice and Hady crumpled to the mat. Jeff struggled to regain his balance. Dutch grabbed Jeff and threw him into a kendo stick shot buy Vincent. The Righteous wrapped Jeff in the ropes (and more barbed wire) and Vincent grabbed a glove and attempted to put it on his hand. Instead, he pulled a flower in it and shoved in Jeff’s mouth. Meanwhile, Matt recovered and hit a double DDT on the Righteous. Jeff tried to help but staggered around the ring and to the floor. Matt watched from ringside but Vincent grabbed him and threw him into a Dutch shoulderblock.

Jeff started to spew spit and vomit from his mouth. The medical staff had to come and stretcher Jeff to the back. Vincent said he wanted Jeff to meet Lily from the Valley (Rehwoldt said the plant was poisonous, ergo Jeff’s reaction.) As they tried to wheel to the back, Jeff flung himself from the gurney and tried to save his brother but it was feckless. Dutch hit Death Walks (Bossman Slam) on Matt off the ropes. Vincent grabbed Matt and hit the Orange Sunshine (a running cutter off Dutch) for the victory.

Post-Match: TNA President Carlos Silva handed Dutch the wreath Vincent wore into the ring and placed it on Vincent’s head. The lights went out and when they came back, the Hardys were gone as we go off the air.

Impactful Ruminations:

One: I know this was at the end of a taping cycle but this was not a good episode. The “Wicked Garden” match was overwrought and couldn’t make up its mind with it being a cinematic match, a PPV level match or a match on a card. The barbed wire was gratuitous and I could go without having to see barbed wire in a match when one team should not be remotely near a plunder match. The Hardys should not be doing this.

Two: The interview segment with Francis and Elijah was not great either. Francis is entertaining on the mic – not tonight. We are basing a feud with Elijah on Intellectual Property and Copyrights. Aside from “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back,” those two topic rarely make for quality entertainment.

Three: They are trying to sell the Young vs. Santana match but did not do it for me. It’s no reflection on Santana, Young just doesn’t appeal to me.

Four: While Ali is always great on the mic, he is stuck in a rehash of the “dissention in the ranks” angle they did last year. I don’t know how they are going to make this fresh. But, still excited for the novelty of Navarro vs. Ali for the International title.

Five: The Lee vs. Mr. Elegance match was horrid. Aside from the intergender violence, what did it accomplish? It gave more fuel to the fire for the Lee vs. Brookside feud and a formal announcement for the match at Slammivesary. That’s fine, but that could have been accomplished in an interview or backstage segment.

Six: BDE is still just….there. Rich Swann’s tutelage is not paying dividends. They’ve turned a YouTube star (at least what the kids tell me,) and turned him into a JTTS.

Seven: Black still needs work on her promos, the cadence does not deviate. It is just kind of there.

Eight: Hopefully, this puts some sense of end for the Marella vs. Grace feud. I am still not ready to give up my thought that there is some sense of a “Team Marella” Vs. “Team Rae” match or card down the pike.

Nine: I guess congrats on the Righteous for a win. It’s still lopsided but you had to get at least a win. It was their match, so conventional logic would dictate they win. This of course will probably set up the cinematic “Hardy Compound” match.

10: Per the news earlier this week, do no let Santana go. You better have some depth on the face side to do that.

11: I am slowly – slowly – coming around to the feud/match between the Undead Realm gang and the By Elegance Brand. I still think M should get a singles run.

Lastly: Kazarian is right – “Cobra” was a mediocre movie. It did have a really good soundtrack, though.

Fight the Good Fight
