Evening Daily News Update: May 5, 2026

Good evening doomers, and welcome to your Evening Daily News Update! The Conference Semi-Finals of the NBA Playoffs kicked off last night with Minnesota clawing themselves to victory despite a historic performance from Wemby (shooting 0 for 8 from 3 being a huge headscratcher) and YOUR New York Knicks took the Sixers around the neighborhood on a leash. Tonight, it’s WWE NXT and we kick off Detroit/Cleveland and OKC/LAL.

WWE NXT Preview:
NXT continues to put a bunch of new faces in places, and we have the following announced ahead of tonight’s broadcast; Jasper Troy battles Jackson Drake, Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice face off with Izzi Dame and Niko Vance, Kali Armstrong goes one-on-one with Jaida Parker, and we have an appearance from Zaria. All this and probably a lot more beginning at 8pm ET on the CW.
