Evening Daily News Update: May 4, 2026

Good evening doomers, and welcome to your Evening Daily News Update! It’s a new week, yes it is, and that means we have WWE Monday Night Raw on Netflix tonight. In NBA action, YOUR New York Knicks host the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semi-Finals Series. I’m sure there’s other games too (Wolves vs Spurs?) but clearly my mind is focused on one thing.

If you’re looking for something to pass the time, Phred has All Japan Champion Carnival from April 12th, Jabroniville’s Joshi Spotlight features GAEA Japan from Christmas Day 2001., and What the World Was Watching has entered 1996 with the Raw Bowl(if you’re curious about the jump, 1995 was covered a ways back).

WWE Monday Night Raw Preview:
We’re heading into WWE Backlash (ALREADY?!?! Spacing these PLE’s out better would be nice) and that means last minute hype for the big event. Roman and Jacob Fatu sign their contract (god I hate these segments), Sol Ruca signs her Raw contract (SERIOUSLY?), Oba Femi issues an open challenge (…. ) and some other stuff. Just typing two contract segments and open challenge killed my interest, but Oba still rules.
