Evening Daily News Update: April 16, 2026

Good evening, doomers, and welcome to your Evening Daily News Update! It’s almost time! Two days until WrestleMania Las Vegas Part II: Nerds in Paradise at a 20% Discount on All Tickets, but before we get there, we have a full lineup of wrestling programming, including a special Thursday Edition of Collision, TNA Impact, JCW Lunacy, and WWE Main Event. No NBA action, but the Clippers are on their way home which means OKC gets their 1st Rd Pick that COULD land them in the Top 4 with some luck (and in the NBA Draft Lottery, luck seems to conveniently strike for certain franchises).

If you’re interested in the WWE farm system and don’t have time to watch, make sure to check out Phred’s weekly recap of WWE Evolve. Kat has the latest Smackdown Rewind as the McMahon-Helmsley Era is already taking it’s toll on the WWE locker room, and Logan’s World Was Watching the December 17th, 1994 episode of Superstars (I missed this one in last night’s update). We have a lot of unique voices with varied tastes in pro wrestling, and hope there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

AEW Collision Preview:
Spring Break Thru continues with a Special Thursday Night Edition of Collision. Jon Moxley takes on Nick Wayne in an Eliminator Match, The Bucks battle The Rascalz, Thekla defends her Women’s Title against Alex Windsor, The Conglomeration goes up against The Lethal Twist in a Trios Eliminator, PAC goes one-on-one with Lio Rush (is he still a Goblin?), among other action.

TNA Impact Preview:
Not quite as loaded of a show as Collision, but we do know that we’ll see EC3 take on Eric Young (OH GOD, WHY?!?!), Jada Stone faces Tasha Steelz, A.J. Francis versus KC Navarro, as well as an appearance from Mike Santana and the next chapter of the Undead Realm.
