Evening Daily News Update: March 9, 2026

Good evening, doomers! We’re kicking off a new week with your Monday Evening Daily News Update. I’m starting to feel more adjusted to the time change, but still a little wonky. We’ve got more WBC to look forward to (USA vs. Mexico!), WWE Monday Night Raw (preview below) and some NBA action as we enter the final leg of the regular season.

Kat is feeling a bit under and we’re all wishing her well in her recovery. We’ll have a suitable replacement to cover Monday Night Raw tonight, so GOOD NEWS EVERYONE… it’s me. I know, I know, but Niz put in the work with Saturday’s Triple Threat Theater, so the least I could do was take the bullet for Raw. Well, actually, the least I could do is absolutely nothing, but you know what I mean. Look forward to Monday Night Garth shortly after the show concludes!

I’ve got the next set of TV from April ’92 from Smoky Mountain Wrestling as the Volunteer Slam approaches, Jabroniville has some GAEA Japan from October 2001 in his Joshi Spotlight, and Logan’s World Was Watching the November 13th, 1994 episode of The Action Zone.

AEW Launches MyAEW Service
The details are a little messy, but this looks like it’s more for the International audience, though US and Canadian viewers will have content available to them as well. More options to find content is always a good thing, though for a monthly/yearly fee, there’s gonna need to be a decent carrot dangling in front of us.

WWE Monday Night Raw Preview:

Tonight, the Wrestling God’s gift me Oba Femi squashing Rusev like the sour grape he is, Penta defends the Intercontinental Championship against El Grande Americano, and there will be a Women’s Gauntlet to determine the challenger for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. All this and MORE starting at 8pm ET on Netflix.
