AEW Collision Review – 11.15.25

You might have heard that AEW ran Blood & Guts on Wednesday’s Dynamite.

Collision comes to us LIVE tonight on TNT from the Erie Insurance Center in Erie, PA. The hosts and presenters of tonight’s show are Tony Schiavone, Nigel McGuinness and Matt Menard (very temporarily) on match calls and analysis, Arkady Aura on ring announcements, and Lexy Nair with backstage interviews and breaking news segments.

Here are some people who used to be in AEW and presumably still are, but they haven’t been seen in a LONG time.

Schiavone and McGuinness run down tonight’s card and highlights of Blood & Guts are shown.

The Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta, PAC and Daniel Garcia) vs Jay Lethal, Tommy Billington and Adam Priest

Pre-match sees Garcia kick the crap out of a mouthy Matt Menard at the announce desk with Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir looking on. Moxley assumes Menard’s position at the desk. Priest and Garcia start and Priest sends Garcia to his corner with a dropkick. Lethal and PAC tag in and Lethal hits a shotgun dropkick before covering PAC for two. Yuta tags in as does Billington, but Garcia slips a blind tag in and waffles Billington with a shoulder. Priest tags in and he and Billington drop Garcia with a double backdrop suplex. Priest and Billington truck Garcia and then drop a charging Yuta to the floor. Garcia and Billington run the ropes and it results in Yuta pulling the top rope down causing Billington to tumble to the floor as we go to commercials.

PAC is whomping on Billington when the show returns, with Yuta and Garcia double-teaming in the DR corner as PAC yaps at the ref. Yuta tags in and bites Billington. The three Death Riders fire forearm after forearm at Billington before PAC crushes Billington with a tombstone piledriver. Yuta tags in and Billington fires up with some headbutts. Billington hits a shotgun dropkick on Yuta so Garcia charges over and smashes Lethal and Priest from the apron. Garcia and Billington tumble to the floor after a Billington cross-body. Lethal gets the hot tag and runs wild on PAC and Yuta and it ends with Lethal slapping the Figure Four on PAC. Garcia breaks that up but PAC manages to push Priest into position for the Lethal Injection. PAC slaps the Brutalizer on Lethal who gives up quickly.

A chaotic scramble purely designed to get some heat back for the Death Riders after Wednesday night’s defeat. It kind of bums me out that Lethal’s group with Jeff Jarrett et al has gone by the wayside but he’s always credible in a jobbing role and was tonight. Priest and Billington had a short run with FTR over the Summer that I thought would lead to bigger things but apparently that’s not the case. Nothing major you have to seek out here. 2.25*

Winners – The Death Riders (PAC Brutalizer on Lethal)

Post-match sees the very vascular PAC grab a microphone to call out Darby Allin for Full Gear. Moxley decides to hang out with Schiavone and McGuinness as the rest of the Death Riders leave.

Lexy Nair is backstage with Mark Davis and TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher. Fletcher is grumpy about having to continually deal with Mark Briscoe, and Davis is fired up about beating Briscoe tonight. Fletcher tells Scorpio Sky that he’s going to say his FULL NAME as we go to commercials.

Lexy Nair is backstage with Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa when the show returns. Storm takes the mic from Nair and says she lives and dies every day and says she’ll be looking for vengeance after B&G.

Mark Briscoe vs Mark Davis

Is this a match for THE MARKS? I’d say so. They start fighting in the aisle and Davis gains a quick advantage. Davis runs Briscoe into the ring and the bell finally sounds. Briscoe fires up and hits a Blockbuster from the apron to the floor. Briscoe fires off some rights and then runs into a big Davis forearm as Schiavone announces PAC-Allin is official for Full Gear. Davis runs Briscoe into a chair at ringside and then runs Briscoe back in the ring to fire off some chops. Briscoe fires up but Davis cuts it off with some rights. Davis hits a superplex and covers Briscoe for two. We go to commercials.

Briscoe eats a big lariat from Davis when the show returns. Davis fires off some chops which only seem to fire Briscoe up. Briscoe smashes Davis with a shoulder and a forearm as we reset. A chop battle breaks out and Briscoe ends it with a kaman giri. Briscoe’s roll up gets two. Briscoe hits a suplex and then ascends. Davis puts his knees up to prevent the Froggy Bow and then wallops Briscoe with a lariat. Davis’s cover gets two. Briscoe goes to the floor and Davis chases after to fire off an elbow. Davis tosses some chairs into the ring so Briscoe uses one of them to hit his over-the-top-rope tackle. Briscoe gets crotched on the top rope by a recovered Davis, so Briscoe returns the favor. Briscoe hits the Froggy Bow and covers Davis for three.

Mark Davis is so low on the DCF totem pole that literally none of the other 568 members came out with him, and then he jobbed. In all seriousness, though, this was pretty good for a match with an easily predictable outcome. There wasn’t a ton of selling but Briscoe bumped around a bunch for Davis’s basic-ass offense. I enjoy matches that feel like fights and this one definitely did. 3*

Winner – Mark Briscoe (Froggy Bow)

Here’s Christopher Daniels and Scorpio Sky to chat about the TNT title match. Sky says he’s been thinking about getting that title back constantly after he lost it over 1200 days ago. Sky says defeat comes for everyone and tonight, it comes from the SKY. We go to commercials.

Schiavone announces there’s something happening backstage, and it’s Josh Alexander abusing Michael Nakazawa with an ankle lock while ranting about Kenny Omega.

MxM TV join us and Taya Valkyrie is wearing the stupidest and most awesome hat I’ve ever seen. Mansoor tells the “slack-jawed odious troglodytes” to shut up as this is the most exciting thing that’s ever happened in Erie. He might actually be right about that.

Tay Melo vs Taya Valkyrie

Apparently Anna Jay is home “sick” tonight. Melo hits a pump kick and then starts firing off forearms. They slug it out and Valkyrie gets the advantage by yanking Melo off the ropes to the mat. Melo fires up on the floor and runs Valkyrie into the ring steps. Melo ascends and hits Johnny TV and Mansoor with a cross body. Melo waffles Mason Madden with a pump kick and then rolls Valkyrie back in. Melo hits her Gory Special Knee Lift and covers Valkyrie for three.

Did you know there are over 700 different varieties of squash? I just made that up, not gonna lie. 1*

Winner – Tay Melo (knee to the face)

Post-match sees Marina Shafir sneak into the ring to put on Mother’s Milk on Melo. Toni Storm charges out and smashes Shafir with a shotgun dropkick and Storm Zero as a shocked Jon Moxley looks on without helping. Shafir glares at Storm as she makes her exit.

Highlights are shown of Hangman Page challenging Samoa Joe to a steel cage match for the AEW Men’s World Championship. Page will face Katsuyori Shibata on Wednesday night’s THREE HOUR Dynamite.

AEW TNT Championship: Kyle Fletcher (C) vs Scorpio Sky

Hey, maybe two thirds of SCU can hold singles titles at the same time! Let’s find out. Christopher Daniels will apparently second Sky, while Fletcher is thankfully alone. Sky offers a handshake which Fletcher kicks away. Sky grabs a wristlock and Fletcher reverses it and starts working an elbow. There’s a reset and Fletcher bails to the floor, so Sky grabs his ring cape and struts around in it. Sky grabs an armbar and then ducks a Fletcher charge. Sky fakes a knee issue and then rolls up Fletcher for two. They slug it out and Fletcher eats a back elbow before bailing again. Sky gives chase and starts walloping Fletcher with rights. Fletcher fires up and dumps Sky back-first on the apron before walloping Daniels with a big boot. A pissed off Sky runs Fletcher into the ring steps as we go to commercials.

Fletcher is working a headlock when the show returns. Sky breaks out so Fletcher starts walloping him with kicks and forearms as Sky tells him to bring it on. Sky fires up and works Fletcher over in a corner with rights. Sky bites Fletcher’s head and then clotheslines him to the floor. Sky hits a rana from the apron and then smashes Fletcher with a tope con hilo. Sky runs Fletcher back in and catches him with a sit-out powerbomb. Sky’s cover gets two. Fletcher fires up with a snapdragon suplex and then waffles Sky with a running boot. Sky bites Fletcher’s fingers and then fires off a Dragon Screw leg whip. Fletcher goes to the apron and they battle it out along the ropes. Sky hits a springboard DDT that doesn’t really hit but Fletcher sells nonetheless. Sky hits another diving spike DDT and covers Fletcher for two. Sky slaps on a single leg crab but Fletcher makes the ropes. Fletcher fires up and hits a Michinoku driver before covering for two. Fletcher hits the sheer drop brainbuster and that gets the three count.

This was long, given that Sky hasn’t had a singles match in AEW since July. Fletcher really gave Sky a fair amount of offense, which I guess is fine for a one-off, but even the crowd got bored by the end. It was just a heatless encounter and I do appreciate that Sky worked kind of heel-ish in an attempt to win back a title that he cares about. The crowd just didn’t really care all that much. 2.5*

Winner and STILL AEW TNT Champion – Kyle Fletcher (sheer drop brainbuster)

Post-match sees Mark Davis charge out to pound on Sky as apparently Aussie Open is a thing again, or maybe they are the only DCF people in the building tonight. Who can tell? Sky Flight and Mark Briscoe charge out to put a stop to that. Briscoe grabs a mic to taunt Fletcher about winning B&G and beating Davis earlier. Briscoe tells Fletcher to kiss and hug the TNT title tonight because it’s coming home with Briscoe at Full Gear. Fletcher says none of the Family attacked Briscoe on Wednesday night and he’s going to cement his legacy as the greatest TNT champion of all time at Full Gear. Fletcher says there’s a spot right next to him in the DCF and Briscoe will say his FULL NAME when he joins.

Max Caster and Anthony Bowens cut a promo about the Tailgate tag match that’s worth $200K. Juice Robinson talks about the match and says the Bang Bang Gang plays for keeps. Big Bill and Bryan Keith talk about their “boys” in New Jersey who will help them win the match. The Outrunners are with Dalton Castle and they vow to win the money as we go to commercials.

Schiavone throws to a highlights package on Mercedes Mone and Kris Statlander that’s narrated by Renee Paquette. I’m actually interested to see the booking around that match.

Alex Windsor and Riho vs Hyan and Maya World

Riho starts with World and Riho gains the advantage with a dropkick. Riho hits an awkward knee lift, and then rolls up World for two. Hyan tags in as does Windsor. Windsor fires off some forearms and tags in Riho. Riho dropkicks Hyan and a Pier Six breaks out. Riho uses Windsor as a springboard to fire off a big forearm. Windsor hits a rolling tackle and then Riho follows with a cross body on both opponents as we go to commercials.

World is working a headlock on Riho when the show returns. Windsor gets a tag and runs wild on World and it ends with a giant lariat that staggers World. Hyan breaks up a cover at two after a Windsor sit-out powerbomb. World fires up with a German on Windsor, but Riho counters that with a snapdragon suplex on World. Riho goes a to a crucifix as World gets crushed by a Windsor lariat. Riho covers and gets the three.

I am a skeptical person by nature and so I’m immediately intrigued by the fact that this got a commercial break and that Hyan and World got some decent offense in. If you follow AEW basically anywhere you know what happened that got Hyan and World on the show last week, so I don’t need to rehash that. Anyway, this was what you’d expect out of this just with a bit more underdog offense from the two folks designated to lose. Nothing you have to seek out, though, as it was awkward and a bit clumsy at times. 2*

Winners – Riho and Alex Windsor (Riho rollup on World)

Post-match sees Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa pop up on the video board to throw down the first round challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament. Windsor and Riho seem very up for it.

The winning men’s team discuss the B&G match with Kyle O’Reilly in particular focusing on Jon Moxley submitting. O’Reilly says anytime and any place, he’ll take on Moxley. Schiavone wants a comment, and the crowd starts chanting “You tapped out!” at Moxley. Moxley grabs a mic and stalks around the ring ranting about how O’Reilly and his team are not built like the Death Riders. Moxley says O’Reilly can’t do it again and he will do any match, any time, and at any place to prove himself right. Moxley berates Schiavone one last time and then leaves in a huff. We go to commercials.

Lexy Nair is with Tay Melo backstage and wants a comment on Marina Shafir’s earlier attack. Melo says that Toni Storm should stay out of her business, and the next time Shafir puts her hands on her she’s going to find out the hard way during the tag team tournament.

LFI (Rush and Sammy Guevara) and FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) vs Jet Speed (Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight), Juice Robinson, and Bandido

Stokely is with FTR as usual. McGuinness talks about FTR abusing both Ricky Steamboat and members of Bandido’s family, including calling Bandido’s abuela “Grandido”. You do go on, Nigel.

Harwood bullies Bandido into a corner and goes to work. Harwood hits a snap suplex and a legdrop before covering for one. Wheeler tags in and Bandido fires up with a superkick. Bailey tags in and does his low kicks barrage to Wheeler. Wheeler catches Bailey with a powerslam before tagging in Guevara. Guevara ascends and then calmly drops and kicks Bailey in the side of the head. Guevara’s mustache is disturbing, for the record. Knight tags in and he and Bailey hit some double team stuff before Knight taunts Rush with the tranquilo pose.

Rush gets pissed and he and Guevara start working over Knight before hitting the ACTUAL tranquilo pose. Rush hits a snap powerslam on Knight and gets two. Harwood tags in and Knight fires up with a clothesline. Robinson gets a tag and he works over both Harwood and Wheeler. Robinson hits a bunch of jabs on Harwood and Wheeler before hitting a big spinebuster that draws Rush in to put a stop to it. Guevara and Bandido charge in as the faces send all the heels to the floor. Bandido hits a moonsault on Wheeler as Knight DDT’s Harwood. Robinson’s cover gets two. We go to commercials.

Bailey hits a missile dropkick on Guevara as the rest of the heels pull the faces off the apron. Guevara fires up with a facebuster and covers Bailey for two. Wheeler tags in and Bailey crushes him with a double knee drop to the ribs. Bandido and Rush tag in and Bandido wipes out all the heels. Bandido tosses Guevara at Rush and then ascends. Bandido hits a frog splash and covers Rush for two. Rush fires up and hits a huge suplex before covering Bandido for two.

The heels surround Bandido but the faces manage to pull FTR to the floor as Bandido tosses Guevara out. Bandido gets tossed into a corner and Rush wants the HORNS. Bandido fires up and slips it, and a Rush headbutt sends them both to the mat after a scuffle. Guevara hits a springboard moonsault on Robinson before getting walloped by Knight as we go into the “everyone gets their moment to shine” sequence. Bailey misses the double knee drop on Harwood while landing on the apron. Rush rolls up Bandido for two. Bandido sends Rush into FTR and then hits the 21Plex on Rush. Bandido covers Rush and gets three.

I’ll try to be nice about this. I do not like these multi-person tag matches that Khan seems so fond of. They follow a very predictable formula in which tags barely matter, people spend inordinate amounts of time on the floor, and it’s just move after move after move. If this stuff is your jam, I’m happy for you because it’s clearly not going away. It’s difficult to even rate this stuff because there’s very little psychology, almost no selling, and everything moves at a million miles an hour. I would have rather just sat through another FTR-Jet Speed match than this, and this is coming from someone who thinks Bandido is the Wrestler of the Year with very little in the way of competition for that award. I guess I’ll call the whole thing 3* and we’ll all move along.

Post-match sees Guevara barking at Stokely about the loss being FTR’s fault, so we’ll see if that goes anywhere. Schiavone runs down the events from tonight and the current Full Gear card as the faces celebrate in the ring. The credits roll and we’re out.

Positives from tonight were seeing Menard get his ass handed to him (I don’t like the guy even a little bit), the Storm promo, the O’Reilly promo followed by Moxley losing his shit, and the Briscoe-Davis match being an old-school kind of fight. The main event was a chaotic mess but sent the fans home happy, so I’d say at least they got that right as well. Full Gear and the Women’s tag tournament were the main focuses tonight and everyone seemed fired up, so the show itself mostly breezed by. I’ll take it. Thumbs leaning up.
