Evening Daily News Update
By Garth Holmberg on 15 October 2025
Good evening, doomers! It’s another Wacky Wednesday, and nothing more wacky than the prospect of the Seattle Mariners going up 3-0 against the Blue Jays, a hole no team has ever dug out of in ALCS history (there seems to be some weird grease stain on the files omitting 2004, looks like smears of ham with crumbs of white bread). WWE Evolve SUCCESSION is tonight, the first ever special for the program. AEW counter-programs with an episode of Dynamite.
Niz gives us the details of last night’s episode of WWE NXT (including Matt Cardona coming home for a J-O-B), Jabroniville has some more DREAM MATCHES, including some deep cuts like Sexton Hardcastle and Christian Cage vs the Super Models from Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling, and Logan’s World Was Watching King of the Ring 1994, a.k.a the most obvious “we’re punting” PPV you could find. The New Generation campaign kicks off with Roddy Piper vs. Jerry Lawler as the most heavily advertised match on the card.

TNA Celebrates Chris Bey with All-Star Award

YouTube Spotlight: The Crockett Cup – 1987 Edition
At 4 1/2 hours, this is the most complete I’ve ever seen the ’87 Cup. Watch the second annual Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup Tag Team Tournament from Baltimore in its most complete form to date. Twenty-four tag teams enter a single-elimination tournament in hopes of winning the trophy and $1 million prize. (WWE’s YouTube channels went hard today, including a “First Look at Tag Teams” compilation, the Story of American Alpha, and a Rockers/Brain Busters match pulled from MSG).
As always, enjoy yourselves, keep it clean, and come out dooming! – GH
